Rock River Rapids is a 5 acres recreational development featuring water rides and amusements, children’s water attractions, pavilions, concessions, swimming pools and bath houses in a contemporary park setting. As a partner with the City of Derby, GSI donated the geotechnical engineering services for the project to support the community. The geotechnical engineering included subsurface investigations and recommendations for many of the foundations for the parks buildings.

GSI also provided construction materials testing during the construction phase for soils, concrete, and asphalt used in the grading and development of the site, the construction of the pools, waterslides and buildings as well as for the landscaping and parking lots.
