Over 15 years ago, GSI began working with Boeing Corporation at their manufacturing campus located in Wichita, Kansas.  Today, GSI and Boeing share a mutually beneficial relationship that is based on technical expertise and the desire to be environmentally responsive and good neighbors in the Wichita community. GSI’s responsiveness to meeting Boeing’s needs, schedules and budgets has forged a strong working partnership. Boeing’s 1,660 acre campus is home to a modification center that manufactures parts for their aviation products.  The years of manufacturing activities at the plant has resulted in a variety of environmental concerns and monitoring.  GSI has accepted the challenging tasks related to the environmental issues at the Boeing Plant. Of significant importance are the identification, monitoring and remediation of chlorinated solvents, TCE and Hexavalent Chromium. In addition to services provided on the Boeing campus, GSI has designed and operated 3 off site remedial systems including two pump and treat systems and one interceptor trench model. Throughout the working tenure at Boeing, GSI has continually provided environmental consulting and geotechnical engineering to bring Boeing into compliance.
